Now THAT's what I'm talkin about.

CC2006 - Wellington. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Nic-style.

The good.
* The venue. The bar. The tutors. The people. The kiwiscraps team. I have never seen organisation like this, and I have been to many of these events in both Aussie & USA. WTG Kiwiscraps.

*The laughs in the classes. I taught 7 classes and the ladies in each had me laughing so hard. Ali Dub's 'basil' story took the cake. Won't repeat this one here ;o) I see I made an impression on Ali - she won't forget me quickly. She is still recovering from punching all.those.holes. (anyone else? hehehe). Hey Ali. They don't call me Nic "Holy' Howard for nothin', girl.

*The sponsers of my classes. Those of you that sat in on my classes know the product packs were AMAZING. Of course some supplied by Kiwiscraps, but much of it sponsered as well.
What I need for those of you that sat in on my classes to do - email these sponsers and thank them. Thank them and let you know what you thought of the classes. they played a huge part of this and don't often get feedback. Click these links now and say thanks.
"Two of us" - Scenic Route paper. info@scenicroutepaper.com
"Passport to Fun" Maya Road - attention of Caroline.
"Passport to Fun" - Fancypants designs. email Jodi jodi@fancypantsdesigns.com
Your thankyou now may play a huge part in sponsership for future events. What the heck, send them pics of the projects you made - do whatever - just be sure to thank them!

*Greener Pastures release. A rad new line of NZ inspired papers and acrylic stamps . Yes that said acrylic stamps. ahhh now you click the link, I see how it is... My personal fav are the stamps that are in my scraproom :o) and the journaling blocks paper. Check. it. out.

*hanging out. Hanging out at the bar on Thursday night. Hanging out in the classes with so many ladies that are not only creating some awesome projects but inspiring everyone around them. Hanging out on my room with Lucy. Hanging out with the Kiwipeas. Hanging out in the foyers outside the classes. Where the food was. LOL.

*McHottie, McFlirty and McNot-a-chance at dinner on Saturday night. Someone (nameless right now) flustering McHottie waiter - um I think it was by calling him "McHottie" (and mentioning various other things) so much that he dropped the cutlery all over Kathleen.

*Having the BEST TAs helping me out. Being pampered. Kiwiscraps you sure know how to make a girl happy.

*Evana. Well if you don't know that story then click the link and see. It's also an educational story on what happens when you cook a baby far too long.

*Educating Ali. You heard it here first (actually I bet most of you read it on Ali's blog first) Faye & I single handedly educated Ali on NZ geography. I also taught her another word she had never heard of. I see she didn't mention THAT one on her blog. Understandable.

*Black pants. Black is slimming. Good, very good. (and the answers to the chocolate comments - yep I eat chocolate - love the stuff - I am also a life time member of weight watchers - all in moderation!!)

*My last class , halfway through, this class was so damn good the earth moved. For everyone. Apparantly.

* The man-flight on the way home. Wellington Rugby development squad on the way to Japan. The flight went far too quick. There was just far too much scenery to look at ;o)

The bad
*Evana having her baby while I was so close - yet so far. Good part - having the baby - bad part - so close, yet SO far.

*After waiting for said baby for so long and being anxious and excited to be captain announcementpants, I pay hurrendous internet fees and forget my blogger password and I don't have my email address book. Lucy gives up and goes to sleep while I spend the next hour hacking my own blog.

*The food. It was too good. Which is bad. After the fact, I mean.

*freakin so many people out in my classes - heehe - that Two of us hole punching got them. I learnt new curse words ;o) This is kinda funny actually.

And finally. The ugly.
I reckon this look on my face as I'm punching out someone's holes for them in the '2 of us' class takes it. It's kind of a "what the frikken heck was I thinking making everyone do this?" look. Perhaps it was a "ok I didn't count on having to do this MYSELF" look.

The Kiwiscraps team. Yelling. Or screaming. Letting out creative energy. Or something.

Far out LADY! Check out these swap pins! Ok I take it back the swap pin thing was fun - except I had only ever really seen Aussie swap pins and they do the photo thing over there... seems NZers don't... I'm the only one with photos on mine... DOOFUS. I especially loved Kirsty Brown's one. It had jellybeans in it. HAD jellybeans in it. LOL.

Passport to fun. Painting. 5 minutes into the class and we are gettin messy. Love that.

And finally - images of my passport to fun class.... yea... it's been in my scraproom for months, I can finally share...

Finished my Two of Us layout - http://lifeofscraps.blogspot.com/2006/08/cc2006-day-three.html
I used a couple of the Scenic Route rub ons on my Donna Downey photo decor project as well, so they definately came in handy.

Done all the bits for the passport - even got signatures on my tags. I will post once I have photos and other "stuff" in it. Such a cool idea - great to keep all my bits and pieces.

Will be a good girl and email your sponsors. Enjoy your trip to OZ

LMAO - yes I am STILL recovering from holepunching too. Love catching up and "hanging" but we didn't get to see no "McDreamy"... although we did have a fashion parade (school ball) outside our restaurant... so we enjoyed watching all that happening. Catch up soon and have fun over in Aus

The pressure on me is going to be eeeeenormous so if you feel sorry for me (please do ) then send heaps of chocolate and the odd bottle of rum to Nics house as I am also collecting her mail while she is away and mowing the lawns etc. Also is a McHottie some sort of heater thing you ladies take to bed to keep you warm on your scrap camps.
